Alvis “Frisky” Clark June 16, 1927 – March 25, 2020

Alvis “Frisky” Clark, 92, passed away at his home in Brunswick, MO on Wednesday, March 25, 2020.  Private graveside services will be held at the Bethany Cemetery in Keytesville, MO on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.  Pastor Hubert Shaw will officiate the service.  No visitation will be held.

Frisky, as he was known to his family and friends, was born on June 16, 1927 in Chariton County, MO, the son of William and Sarah (Brown) Clark.  He attended school at Bell Country School north of Keytesville, MO.

On August 17, 1945, he enlisted into the United States Army and honorably served his country until December 20, 1946.  Frisky was in the 161st Engineers Battalion and received the World War II Victory Medal during his service.  Frisky reenlisted into the Army on September 7, 1950 and served during the Korean War.  He was injured during his time of service and honorably served his country until October 29, 1953.

Frisky was a bus driver and supervisor at Brunswick RII Schools for more than 30 years.  He also owned a small construction company, built many levees across the state of Missouri, and was a commercial produce farmer, including selling corn to the state of Nebraska.  He enjoyed being outdoors and especially loved to fish.  He was a member of the Brunswick Baptist Church in Brunswick, MO.

Frisky is survived by his beloved wife of the home, Wilma; five children and their families; two stepsons and one stepdaughter and their families; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, two great-grandchildren, and his siblings.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Harmon, Mike Kahn, Mike Kahn Jr, Wayne Drummond, Joe Moser, and Willie Haskamp.  Honorary pallbearers are Joey Seig, Jamie Bowyer, Kerry Straub, Brent Dickerson, Steve Harmon, Tony McCollum, Buddy McCollum, and Rick Derenzy.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to Hometown Homecare of Fayette, MO or Bethany Cemetery in Keytesville, MO.  Donations may be left at or mailed to Breshears Memorial Chapel, 207 W. Broadway, Brunswick, MO, 65236.
