Lawrence Clifton “Larry” Copeland March 12, 1947 – November 21, 2019

Lawrence Clifton “Larry” Copeland, 72, of Brunswick, MO passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the Brunswick Nursing Home in Brunswick, MO.  No services will be held.

Larry was born on March 12, 1947 in Glendale, CA, the son of James Clifton and Emily Marilla (Meinerd) Copeland.  Larry graduated from Herbert Hoover Highschool in Glendale, CA in 1965.  On July 1, 1966 he enlisted in the United States Air Force.  During his service Larry received the National Defense Service Medal, the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, and earned the rank of Staff Sergeant.  Larry was stationed at Itazuke Airforce Base in Japan with the 1955th Communications Squadron and later was stationed at Grand Forks Airforce Base in North Dakota.  Larry honorably served his country until January 29, 1973.

After serving his country, Larry began his career as a security installation technician.  He worked as a technician for most of his working career.  In 1997, Larry moved from California to Brunswick, MO.  Larry owned and operated a Mexican restaurant called El Rio in Brunswick for several years.  Larry loved working on computers, photography, music, and his cat.

He is survived by one sister, Sandi Moser of Brunswick, MO and one nephew, Jesse Johnson, his wife, Jessica, and their daughter, Parker, of Maplewood, NJ.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Herman Moser.
