Carl Wayne Myrick July 23, 1939 – July 18, 2019

Carl Wayne Myrick, 79, of Mendon, MO, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Life Care Center in Brookfield, MO.  Funeral services will be held at Breshears Memorial Chapel in Mendon, MO on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 10:00 A.M.  Gail Brown will officiate the service.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Breshears Memorial Chapel in Mendon, MO from 7:00-8:30 P.M.  Burial will be in the Mendon Cemetery, Mendon, MO.

Carl was born on July 23, 1939 in Dean Lake, MO, the son of Marion and Florence Irene (Lawson) Myrick.  In 1957, he graduated from Northwestern R-I High School.  On July 31, 1960 Carl married the love of his life, Nancy Martin.  To this union they were blessed with four children, Randy, Patricia, Debra, and Judy.

Carl worked for Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers for 37 years until he retired in July of 2004.  He was a member of the Dean Lake Baptist Church.  Carl loved spending time with his family, fishing, and hunting.

Carl is survived by three daughters and their spouses, Patricia (Mike) Simons of Marceline, MO, Debra (Dennis) Shalon of Knoxville, IA, and Judy (Jeff) Gray of Rothville, MO; twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; three siblings, Calvin Myrick of Slater, MO, Dixie McClaskey of Excelsior Springs, MO, and Charles (Joyce) Myrick of Slater, MO; two brothers-in-law, Donald (Ann) Martin of Huntsville, MO and Pat Cunningham of Norborne, MO; Carl is also survived by one sister-in-law, Mabel Martin of Huntsville, MO.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy; his son, Randy; his parents; two sisters, Martha Wright and Ruth Cunningham; and three brothers-in-law, Junior Martin, Harold Wright, and Howard “Mac” McClaskey.

Pallbearers will be Russell Simons, Dustin Shalon, Kyle Penrod, C.J. Myrick, Jordan Gray, and Aaron Gray.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Northwestern R-I School or Mendon Cemetery.  Donations may be left at or mailed to Breshears Memorial Chapel, 207 W. Broadway, Brunswick, MO, 65236.
