William Ernest Arp

William Ernest Arp, of Brunswick, Missouri, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016, at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital, in Columbia, Missouri.

He lived an honorable life of 57 years, 4 months, and 7 days.

It was on February 3, 1959, at Trinity Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, that the Lord blessed the home of Arnold Arlo and Barbara June (Lybarger) Arp with the gift of a son. William graduated from Schlegel High School, in Kansas City. Upon graduation, William proudly enlisted into the United States Navy. William had many passions, and during his residency in South Carolina, he applied one of his gifts toward working with children and adults with special needs. When he returned to Missouri, he was employed by Chariton County, Missouri as a jailer. He was a proud member of the American Legion Post#7, Brunswick, Missouri, and was of the Seventh Day Adventist faith.

William is survived by his father, Arnold, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara; one infant son, Joshua Curtis Arp; two brothers, Steven Ray Arp and Christopher Eugene Arp; a nephew, Mitchell Ray Arp.

Graveside Memorial Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Pleasant Park Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri, with Reverend Lanny Lybarger officiating.

In memory of William, the family has chosen memorial contributions be made to family choice.
