RW Schuchmann, Jr.

Rudolph Waldo (RW) Schuchmann, Jr, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at the age 80 years at the Carroll House in Carrollton, MO. Funeral services will be held at the Brunswick Christian Church, Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. Reverend Mark Schuchmann officiating. Visitation will be at the Church, Saturday, from 9:30 – 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in the Elliott Grove Cemetery at Brunswick, MO, Military Honors provided by Rucker-McAllister Post # 7 American Legion of Brunswick, MO. Rudolph Waldo Schuchmann was born on September 5th, 1933 at home on the farm. His parents were Rudolph Waldo Schuchmann & Jessie Lee Lunceford. Their farm was located just south of Brunswick, on the other side of the Grand River in what is commonly called the Bar Ground. RW graduated from Brunswick High School in 1952 and from there served in the US Army during the Korean War era. After serving in the military, RW returned home to join in the family farm operation with his father. RW married Donna Jean Holmes on Feb. 17th, 1957. Later the same year, RW’s father became seriously ill and died, leaving RW to carry on the family farm by himself. RW was a lifelong member of the Christian Church in Brunswick. He was active in his community and served as President of the School Board, Cemetery Board, the Levee Board,  a member of the Rucker-McAllister Post # 7 American Legion, and the Church Board over the course of his life. He is survived by his wife Donna of 57 years of Brunswick, one sister Karen Kay Wright & husband Jim of Mound City, Kansas. Three sons; Rudolph Waldo Schuchmann & wife Mitzi of Brunswick, Robert Holmes Schuchmann & wife Denise of Webb City, and Mark Alan Schuchmann & wife Suzie of Brunswick. As well as eight grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. RW was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Rebeca Ann, and one nephew James Will Wright. Pallbearers will be, Brandon, Derek, Jacob and Joseph Schuchmann, Bobby Meyer and Brian Graham. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steven and Randy Meyer, Sam Johnson III, Dean Miller, Gene and Bill Sturm, L.T. Stephens, Denny Utterback and Bob Littleton.
