Nina Arlene (Littrell) Martin August 14, 1935 – September 11, 2023

Nina Arlene (Littrell) Martin, 88, of Carrollton, MO, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, MO.  Funeral services will be held at Breshears Memorial Chapel in Brunswick, MO on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 11:00 A.M.  Mark Schuchmann will officiate the service.  Visitation will precede the service on Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.  Burial will be in McCullough Cemetery in Triplett, MO.

Nina was born on August 14, 1935 in Hale, MO, the daughter and youngest child of Covie and Pearl (Brown) Littrell.  She graduated from Northwestern High School in 1953 and that summer, on July 3, 1953, she married the love of her life, Vern J. Martin, in Dean Lake, MO.  Together they were blessed with two children, Alan J. and Vern Dale.

Nina worked at the Jomac Glove Factory in Brunswick, MO for 20 years, Biltwell Manufacturing in Salisbury, MO, LT York in Brunswick, MO, and Arch Tools in Keytesville, MO until her retirement in 1997.  She was an avid fisherwoman who loved to crochet and play cards.  Nina was a member of the Dean Lake Baptist Church.

Nina is survived by her son, Alan Martin and his wife Susan of Brunswick, MO; four granddaughters, April Renner and her husband Jeremy of Brunswick, MO, Alana Wilson and her husband Jeramy of DeWitt, MO, Kayla Sturgeon and her husband Chris, and Kelsey Martin and her significant other Michael Link, all of Carrollton, MO; four great-grandchildren, Londyn, Zamora, Harper, and Ty; three step-great-grandchildren, Chloe, Brooklyn, and Dillon; and one daughter-in-law, Tina Martin of Carrollton.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Covie and Pearl; her beloved husband of fifty-two years, Vern J.; her son, Vern Dale Martin; and twelve siblings, Laveta, Fern, Covia Lee, Arthur Dale, Orville, Evila, Lila Irene, Lucy, Howard Joe, Kenneth, Joyce, and Lloyd.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Renner, Jeramy Wilson, Chris Sturgeon, Michael Link, Rodney Swan, and Ricky Shatto.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Dale Littrell and Edward Speichinger.

Memorial may be made to McCullough Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Breshears Memorial Chapel, 207 W. Broadway, Brunswick, MO 65236.
