Timothy Lee Sparks December 17, 1982 – May 6, 2023

Timothy Lee Sparks, 40, formerly of DeWitt, MO, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at his friend’s home in rural Saline County, MO.  Funeral services will be held at Breshears Memorial Chapel in Brunswick, MO on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 11:00 A.M.  Mark Schuchmann will officiate the service.  Visitation will precede the service from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M.  Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in DeWitt, MO.

Timothy was born on December 17, 1982, in Carrollton, MO, the son of James Sparks and Gloria (Luntsford) Swan.  He attended Brunswick High School and later passed his General Educational Development Test while being homeschooled.

Timothy worked for Crenshaws, US Rail, Thorne & Son Asphalt Paving, and most recently he was working with his mother at her business, Spoiled Pets Boarding & Grooming.  He was a Christian who loved fishing, shooting his guns, helping others, training his dogs, grooming dogs, and country cruising.

Timothy is survived by his two children, Timothy J. Sparks and Aliyah Sparks; one grandchild, Isaak Bigby; his mother, Gloria Swan, and her husband, James; his father, James Sparks; four siblings, Angelika Copple and her husband Lendy, Alicia Munden and her husband Jason, Thomas Sparks and his wife Chelsea, and Anetta Ortiz and her husband Gerardo; his maternal grandfather, Louis Luntsford; his friend and former wife, Donna Elliott; his K-9 companions, Barbara,   Diesel, and Lexi; and he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Margaret Luntsford, and his paternal grandparents, Everett and Virginia Sparks.

Pallbearers will be Timothy J. Sparks, Thomas Sparks, Gerardo Ortiz, Bobby McWilliams, Matthew Artis, and Rusty Wattenbarger.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Luntsford, Jim Appleberry, Lloyd Daniels, Everett Sparks, Wayden Sparks, Dalton Sparks, and Onyx Ortiz.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to be made to Saving Dogs 4 Paws at a Time in Moberly, MO.  Donations may be left at or mailed to Breshears Memorial Chapel, 207 W. Broadway, Brunswick, MO, 65236.
