Ina Louise (McCully) Lewis November 14, 1939 – March 22, 2023
Ina Louise (McCully) Lewis, 83, of Brunswick, MO, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. The family will host a celebration of life on April 29, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Christian Church in Brunswick, MO. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery in Callao, MO.
Ina was born on November 14, 1939, in Chariton County, MO, the daughter of William and Erma (Stephenson) McCully. In 1957, she graduated from Callao High School in Callao, MO and later went on to attend college at the Northeast Missouri State Teacher’s College in Kirksville, MO.
On June 13, 1981, she was united in marriage to Walter Dean Lewis at the Christian Church in Brunswick, MO. Together they had ten children, Walter Jr, Mark, Linda, David, Robin, Donna, Eddie, Todd, Ronda, and Mady. Walter preceded her in passing on February 9, 2022.
Ina was a homemaker and would work part-time as a CNA during the winter months. She worked part-time at the nursing home in Shelbina, MO for 20 years. Ina loved taking care of her family, doing puzzles, collecting bears, fishing, doing crafts, baking, gardening, traveling, and camping. She attended the Brunswick Christian Church and was a member of the RV Nuts camping club.
Ina is survived by nine children, Walt Lewis (Geraldine) of WA, Mark Lewis of ID, Linda Rodriguez D.O. of OK, David Taylor (Tammy) of Brunswick, MO, Robin Lewis of Glasgow, MO, Donna Dickey of OK, Eddie Lewis (Ronda) of Alma, MO, Todd Lewis (Yvonne) of TX, and Ronda Taylor of DeWitt, MO; one brother, Gail Stephenson of Brunswick, MO; she is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Sr.; her parents, William and Erma McCully; and her daughter, Mady Kraft.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to be made to Brunswick Christian Church. Donations may be left at or mailed to Breshears Memorial Chapel, 207 W. Broadway, Brunswick, MO, 65236.
