Larry Lynn Taylor November 8, 1949 – August 8, 2022

Larry Lynn Taylor, 72, of Macon, MO, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022 at the Brunswick Nursing Home in Brunswick, MO.  A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 2:00 P.M.  The interment will take place at Jacksonville Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.

Larry was born on November 8, 1949 in Sycamore, IL, the son of Arthur and Edith (Munn) Taylor.  He graduated from Sycamore High School in Sycamore, IL in 1968.  On September 23, 1969, Larry enlisted into the United States Army and honorably served his country until July 16, 1971.  He then reenlisted on August 31, 1976, and honorably served until May 16, 1979.  During his service he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Marksman M16, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Expert Hand Grenade, two Overseas Service Bars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, and Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars.

Larry was a Baptist in the Christian faith who loved spending time with his family, loved to shoot pool, and was a lifelong member of the American Legion.

Larry is survived by two daughters, Lisa Robles and her husband Rogelio of DeKalb, IL and Sondra Gomez of Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren, Marco, Saavana, and Isabela; three siblings, Gerald Taylor and his wife Martha of DeKalb, IL, David Taylor of Addison, IL, and Linda Mohney and her husband Roger of Genoa, IL; one sister-in-law, Gail Taylor of DeKalb, IL; and he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Edith Taylor, and one brother, Roger Taylor.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Taylor, David Taylor, Linda Mohney, Rogelio Robles, and Marco Robles.

Arrangements were under the direction of Breshears Memorial Chapel at 207 W. Broadway, Brunswick, MO, 65236.
